New receiver was identical to old one and very simple to install. Can now be 50-100’ away to open and close gate.

Received parts in a timely fashion and cured my problem. However freight costs were out lunch. Should have shipped via USPS, would have been much cheaper. I have no choice as to shipping methods when ordering, should have!!!

Called Mighty Mule Tech Support and described problem and was told I needed to replace the Receiver. After replacing the Receiver gate opens better but the distance from the receiver to the new transmitter was not much better. Not like it was when I first installed the opener. Overall Mighty Mule Gate Openers are a great product, at a great value, with great support.

Gate would not open with any remote. Jumped put the "open gate" wires and gate opened telling me it was bad receiver. Replacing it did the trick. Expensive. $50.00 plus tax and $16.00 shipping. Would have been 5 stars if the price was more reasonable. You can't get these too many places. $35 on eBay but didn't want to chance it.

This product has made my life so much easier.  Why ?  It does what it claims it should do which is open and close my 16' steel gate located at the end of my driveway by the click of the 'garage door opener' style remote.  No real surprise there.  What is a bit of a surprise is how reliably it does it in a -40 degree Canadian prairie winter.  Year after year my opener continues to function, fed only by an automotive 12V battery that is kept topped up by the small solar panel (optional).  Again, this is my main gate which gets several uses every day.  It's not often I get surprised by how well a product works, the Mighty Mules 300 Series gate opener is one of those products.
