After installation we kept getting false alerts even in the middle of the night. We changed the frequency twice but the problem persisted. We've adjusted the sensitivity several times and are hopeful that a happy medium has been reached. If it continues to work as advertised we will be satisfied with the product.

4 of 5 Product Review January 18, 2021
Reviewer: Ron Briggs from Central Texas
Installed the Mighty Mule driveway alarm 10 days ago.  I did purchase a 10' usb cable to extend the distance between sensor and transmitter.  So far everything works as advertised and as expected.

My only complaint - and it's a major complaint - is the the receiver is inadequate.  The volume is lacking - even when volume control us turned to highest level it is not nearly loud enough.  It would also be nice were there selectable tones; however, that doesn't bother me all that much.  It's the volume that is frustrating.

I don't sense it is practical to add another receiver as the distance from the transmitter to my home (where the receiver is located) scarcely reaches the present location of the receiver.

5 of 5 Product Review December 19, 2018

We tried several driveway alarms that all used infared (PIR) detectors.  Some did not last, but all gave a lot of false alarms from the sun hitting the driveway, stray animals, etc.  The Might Mule has worked flawlessly and eliminated the false alarms.  It has been in place for almost five years.
