Let the smoke out! June 26, 2019

Called tech a few weeks ago and was advised that a Rev Counter Board FM350 352-500 502, FM600 was needed. Plugged it in yesterday and the whole board smoked around the piezo. rather disappointed that this occurred.

we haven't installed it yet because it's raining. can't figure out how the water gets in every time. So we manually open and close  the gate. this is getting old and frustrating.

Product Review December 1, 2018
Reviewer: Travis from Tennessee
this is my second replacement board.  the original and first replacement failed when ants built nests in the arm which shorted out the board.  Moisture or insect damage is not covered by the warranty.  this time around I purchased a waterproof electrical box at Lowes and mounted the board in the waterproof box, drilled a small hole in the bottom and rewired the charging and control wires in and out of the box to the arm and then sealed up the wires going into the box.  This set up is standard with the 500 and above series and should be standard for the 300 series.  Having the control board inside the arm is a design flaw because the drain holes needed to drain the condensation either get clogged up or in my case allow insects to enter and damage the board.    I would suggest that MM offer this set up as standard on the 300 series or at least offer it as an option or accessory that could be purchased although it was a pretty cheap fix from Lowes.
