Description Technical Specs Features
The FM136 Wireless Intercom/Keypad is a versatile intercom system that allows for communication between a driver requesting entrance to the property, and a person inside of the property.  The FM136 allows you to grant access to your property by instructing the visitor to press a button on the keypad at the gate.  The system is ideal for any residential application, and it alerts you to the identity of visitors from the safety of your home.  The intercom provides superior range with two-way communication up to 500 feet wireless.  It comes with outdoor call/keypad unit that can be programmed with up to 25 entry codes for keypad access.  The FM136 also comes with an indoor base unit that is mobile and can be used anywhere in your home just like a cordless phone.  Rechargeable batteries allow for operation even during power outages.  Up to 4 interior base stations can operate off of the Intercom (F3101MBC) for use in different rooms of your house.

Okay as a doorbell December 12, 2016

I basically use this as a doorbell and it works great for that. We had to get a better gate opener but it didn't have the ability to have a visitor press a CALL button that would ring in the house. That being said, my 2nd Mighty Mule  wireless intercom just stopped working, so I will be ordering a new one. 3rd on in 10 years so they last about 3 years.

Wireless intercom November 6, 2016

Never could get the thing to work and the measured distance between the key pad and the inside unit is 227 ft. I ended up putting a sign on the gate telling people to call my cell, if I trust them I give them the code.  If I don't, I walk out to the car and get the clicker, walk halfway down the drive and let them in.  Then the battery holder split, I taped it together and that worked for the past 8 months.  Now the tape isn't working anymore and I have to buy a new keypad.  Not happy.

Needs more options May 19, 2014

The product works as advertised. However, the speaker volume on the keypad itself is VERY low, making it difficult for your visitor to hear you telling them to hit any key after you've granted them access. You end up practically yelling into the base station.

I would like to see an optional setting that would simply open the gate when the grant permission button is pressed on the base station. This would eliminate the confusion that seems to be created when a visitor is asked to "press any key."
